THE BIG QUESTION❓
Just like yesterday, Just like a leopard in motion, eye(s) twinkled graciously when the Green-White-Green symbol was hoisted in Lagos at about 12:01am; What great joy blossomed on the faces of Nigerians when Sir Tafawa Balewa gave a valedictory speech that stood as an intermediary between the end of an obsequious era and a pristine beginning; The song that lingered on the lips of exhilarated Nigerians like the pendulum of a clock was “NIGERIA WE HAIL THEE”…
Hmmmmm, Days passed, weeks rolled over weeks, months stumbled upon months and years was set in motion like a flying airplane. And now its 55years of toiling, 55years of suffering, 55years of wailing, 55years of yearning, 55years of hoping, 55years of striving for GOOD not striving for BETTER nor striving for BEST. Little did we know that we only gained independence and not freedom. SELAH. What then can be done to break the chains of pain? What can be done to break the shackles of rankle? Well the answer lies within the four chambers of our heart so also the answer which should be and must be a PRAGMATIC answer is inflected on a 7 words question that i call THE BIG QUESTION; The big question is “What way can i impact Nigeria positively?”, so that the hobble of suffering and smiling can be over. This is a wake-up call to all youths in Nigeria.
ARISE O COMPATRIOTS(You and I) so that the labour of legendary heroes won’t be in vain.
TOGETHER WE CAN BUILD A NATION BOUND IN FREEDOM, PEACE AND UNITY…. I leave you to ruminate over THE BIG QUESTION.
